The Mechanical Engineer Role Mechanical assembly and build of bespoke machinery Reading and interpreting engineering drawings Working with pneumatics (cylinders, slides, regulators) Machine build, installation and mechanical testing Fault finding and problem solving Using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment Ensuring exceptional quality and accuracy Supervising a small team Mechanical Engineer Requirements Strong background in machine build / mechanical fitting Confident reading engineering drawings Good pneumatic systems knowledge Excellent troubleshooting skills High attention to detail Positive, team‑focused attitude CNC or machining experience beneficial Ideally 8+ years' engineering experience Proven supervisory capability If you have previously worked as Mechanical Engineer, Machine Build Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, Machine Builder, Machinery Assembly, Special Purpose Machinery, Pneumatics, Engineering Drawings, Mechanical Assembly, Manufacturing Engineer, Multi skilled Electro Mechanical Engineer, we'd love to hear from you.
