Shift Analytical Chemist Rotating shift pattern - 4 on (2 days, 2 nights), 4 off South Yorkshire (commutable from Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster and surrounding areas) Salary - £30,000 - £37,000 (Including shift allowance) Permanent SRG is working with a leading manufacturer of speciality metals, alloys and materials. Based in the South Yorkshire area, a vacancy has come up for a member of their analytical laboratory team. This would include a shift pattern working 4 days on, 4 days off, two days and two nights. The role would suit a graduate or experienced chemist with a background in analytical metal testing or a background in metallurgy. Applications encouraged from people who've recently graduated and more experienced chemists Equal Opportunities & Disability Confident Employer Benefits: 25 days holiday + holiday purchase scheme, cycle to work scheme, life assurance, healthcare scheme and an onsite gym with support from an employee assistance programme Role Description Conducting sample preparation and performing analytical testing to meet internal and external customer requirements and deadlines Operating safely and compliantly in line with Health, Safety, Environmental, ISO and Quality standards Reporting test results, job updates, complaints and safety concerns to Shift Leaders as required Maintaining laboratory cleanliness, housekeeping standards and safe working areas throughout each shift Supporting continuous shift operations through rota working, absence cover and minimising waste generation Requirements HNC or Equivalent in Chemistry, Metallurgy or Materials Engineering Experience with sample preparation for metals and materials Experience using equipment like XRF and ICP-OES would be beneficial Ability to travel or relocate to the South Yorkshire area Full right to work in the UK If you would like to apply for this position, please use the link provided.
