Head of Finance – Supported Living & Complex Care £70,000 – £75,000 | Primarily Colchester based | Some home working flexibility * Fully qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA * Senior finance leadership experience (FD, Head of Finance, or FC at group level) * Hands-on experience in adults social care – you understand how packages are priced and funded * Based within a commutable distance of Colchester – this role is primarily Colchester based, with some home working flexibility. It is not a remote role * Comfortable owning the whole finance function on your own A real advantage: supported living, complex care or learning disability services; acquisition due diligence; PE-backed or high-growth environments. Not right for you if: you've only worked within a wider finance team without full ownership, or you have no social care background. THE OPPORTUNITY We're working with a growing provider of specialist supported living and outreach services for adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and complex needs. This is their first Head of Finance – genuine end-to-end ownership of the function. You'll be the finance voice in the room, not one of several. WHY NOW The group plans to double in size over the next five years, organically and through acquisition. That means new services, new commissioning relationships, and a step change in what finance needs to deliver. You'll sit on the Senior Leadership Team, working directly with the Chief Executive, Managing Director and operational leaders. WHAT YOU'LL OWN * Financial strategy – advising the CEO, MD, Board and SLT * Budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and performance across multiple services and locations * The annual fee uplift strategy – negotiating with local authority commissioners, NHS and ICB funders * Pricing individual packages, including direct payments and Individual Service Funds * Board reporting, governance, risk and assurance * Financial modelling and due diligence for acquisitions and new services, plus integration afterwards * Financial controls, statutory accounts, audit and regulatory compliance * Treasury, banking, insurance and adviser relationships * Leading and developing the finance team WHAT'S ON OFFER * £70,000 – £75,000 per annum * Private medical insurance * Company pension * Company sick pay * Some home working flexibility (role is primarily Colchester based) * Free on-site parking * A genuine seat at the top table in a business built for growth INTERESTED?
