Regional Health & Safety Advisor

Are you an experienced Health, Safety, Environment and Quality professional looking for a new challenge with a reputable and growing contractor? You have an exciting opportunity to join the specialist utilities division of groundworks and civil engineering specialist. You will be covering new build and replacement of water infrastructure on multiple schemes across the Yorkshire region as Regional Health & Safety Advisor. Due to the nature of the projects involved, you will have demonstrable experience of utilities and civil engineering environments, ideally water. Reporting into the Head of HSEQ you will be: • Visiting various sites and integrate with the delivery teams and providing a solutions-led approach • Provide operational safety, health, environment and quality support throughout the region • Conducting regular site inspections to support operational staff working across water utilities schemes, including clean and wastewater • Providing a key liaison in Health, Safety, Environment and Quality with internal and external stakeholders • Driving best practice in a challenging health and safety environment Knowledge of safety, health & environmental legislation and current construction practices is key. You will also be: • NEBOSH-qualified (MINIMUM) • Experienced in water utilities or civil engineering projects (ESSENTIAL) • Dynamic and personable • Able to engage with site teams with safety, health and environment issues • Driven and autonomous This is an excellent chance for you to help the company drive their Health, Safety & Environment culture.
