Stunning B&I site in the heart of the city catering for 1500 covers daily via a comprehensive breakfast and lunch offering is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join the team to drive standards and suppotr the day to day running of the operation. The offer consists of street food counters, bistro counter, extensive hot and cold grab n go, salad bars, protein bars, international stations, speciality days and take overs from well known brands. A dynamic, exciting fresh food environment with a people centric approach. This is a Monday to Friday operation working for a boutique contract caterer with a reputation for excellence.
The Role
The Sous Chef will be a key support to the senior culinary team. Key responsibilities will include: - Supprt with menu creation and development across all counters - Support mentoring and developing the kitchen team - Daily client briefings - Maintaining all health and safety standards - Delivering hospitality functions aligned with client specifications The Candidate
- Strong understanding of high volume contract catering environments, both retail and hospitality - An understanding of financials - Experience supporting and mentoring large teams - Flexible and dynamic - able to think on their feet - Highly organised and able to delegate effectively
