About the role
Overtime paid at time and 1 half, day off on your birthday, manufacturer training, clear progression pathways, Enhanced Maternity and Paternity support, 4 times salary death-in-service cover, 24hr GP access.
£19.50 per hour, overtime paid at time and 1 half.
Alternate weeks Mon-Fri 06.00 - 14.00/Mon-Fri 14.00 - 22.00 including a paid 30-minute break. Every other Saturday paid at the applicable rate. Additional overtime and call-out available.
We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a professional and supportive workshop team. This opportunity offers excellent career development, ongoing technical training, and regular overtime opportunities.
As a HGV Technician, your primary responsibility will be ensuring customers' vehicles remain safe, compliant, and operational through high-quality maintenance and repair work. The successful HGV Technician will benefit from specialist BPW and LOLER training, alongside health and safety e-learning programmes designed to enhance technical knowledge and professional growth.
Duties and responsibilities: -
Carrying out major and minor repairs on heavy goods vehicles, trailers, and commercial fleet equipment.
Completing routine inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance activities, including tyre replacement and oil changes.
Maintaining workshop stock levels and ensuring a clean, safe working environment.
Assisting with fault diagnosis and planning effective repair solutions.
Keeping accurate maintenance and service records.
Providing roadside breakdown assistance when required.
Completing documentation, warranty submissions, and associated administration accurately and efficiently.We are very keen to hear from HGV Technicians who have the following: -
Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds, or IMI qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
Previous experience within commercial vehicle maintenance or repair.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities.
Ability to identify worn, damaged, or defective components in line with DVSA standards.
Full UK driving licence relevant to vehicle classes operated.
