Job Title: Wood Cutter Location: Outskirts of Ashford (own transport required due to location) Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent Salary: £13.33, plus overtime available paid at higher rates! Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8am-5:45pm, finishing at 4:15pm on Friday Benefits: Weekly pay, up to 28 days annual leave, free on-site parking and access to online benefits platform! Role Overview: Working within an assembly/manufacturing environment, you will be operating saws to cut wood. This position involves manual handling and heavy lifting, so physical fitness is essential. Key Responsibilities: Inspecting reject pieces of wood and operating a crosscutter machine to cut wood to be repurposed. Progress within the team and learn how to assembly products using various tools such as air nail guns, hammers etc. Progress and be trained on how to operate a forklift truck.What We're Looking For: Comfortable with physical, hands-on work and able to lift up to 25kg. Previous experience in machinery, assembly, production, woodworking, or general labouring is advantageous. Safety boots and hi-vis clothing are required.Interested in the role? Apply today!
