Draughtsman

ROLE- Draughtsman LOCATION- Luton TERM- Permanent SALARY- £40,000 - £50,000, dependent on experience My client is a specialist metal product designer and manufacturer. They are looking for a Draughtsman to join their team in Luton on a permanent basis. The Draughtsman will ideally have the following attributes: HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Design, Engineering or similar 2-5 years’ or more of experience in a similar Design / Draughtsman position Knowledge of manufacturing processes including sheet metal, fabrication and welded parts  Be proficient using 2D & 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks & Tekla Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Proficient using MS Office Excellent organisational skills and time management skills Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team  The Draughtsman role will involve: Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings & sketches Producing fabrication drawings to bespoke requirements Communicating directly with clients to determine requirements Liaising with manufacturing providers Being involved in final assembly of products Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans Updating 3D models and drawings Checking drawings for sign off Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects  If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible
