About the Role

Join our January 2027 early careers intake as a Graduate / Junior Architect and become part of the Xcellerate cohort, our dedicated early careers development programme.

Based at our head office in Godalming, Surrey, you’ll work alongside experienced architects on Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical projects. From day one you’ll gain hands-on experience, work within multidisciplinary project teams, and build your technical and professional skills with structured support.

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role is predominantly office-based, with occasional site visits. A full, valid driving licence would therefore be an advantage but is not essential.

What you’ll do

* Develop architectural layouts, plans, sections and elevations from concept through to detailed design

* Produce and maintain coordinated Revit models, AutoCAD drawings, schedules and technical documentation in line with project and BIM standards

* Coordinate architectural designs with multidisciplinary teams, including process, mechanical and electrical engineers

* Support design reviews, model coordination and clash detection, incorporating client requirements and resolving design issues

* Assist with Building Regulations, fire safety, accessibility, planning and Building Control submissions, as well as RFIs and contractor reviews

* Attend site visits, record progress and observations, manage allocated tasks and ensure deadlines are met

You will be

* RIBA/ARB Part 2 qualified (or equivalent), with 1-2 years’ experience in architectural practice

* Experienced in Revit and AutoCAD, with an interest in developing BIM and digital design skills

* Knowledgeable in Building Regulations, construction detailing and technical design

* Interested in technically complex projects, including industrial, laboratory, healthcare and pharmaceutical buildings

* Familiar with relevant standards and regulations, including GMP, cleanroom environments, CDM 2015 and the Building Safety Act

* A strong communicator, well organised, detail-oriented and proactive, with the ability to work collaboratively

* Driven and keen to work as part of a fast paced, multi-disciplinary engineering firm

Why Join Scitech-EKIUM?

It’s an exciting time to join Scitech-EKIUM as we continue to grow, welcoming talented professionals across multiple engineering disciplines. Through Xcellerate and beyond, you’ll follow a structured development programme, with mentoring and a funded route to chartership, designed to build your technical skills and set you up for a rewarding long-term career.
