Your impact
Join Jacobs' Future Energy & Power Systems team and play a key role in shaping the energy transition. We are seeking a Senior Power System Engineer to lead and deliver complex power system studies across generation, transmission, distribution, renewable energy, energy storage and industrial networks. Working with major UK and international clients, you'll have the opportunity to influence some of the most significant power and decarbonisation projects in the market.As part of our team, you'll be leading and delivering a range of services throughout our study projects, including but not limited to: Power system modelling and model verification. Feasibility studies, including load flow and fault level assessments. Determining equipment performance specifications. Grid Code compliance studies. Interconnection/impact studies. Electromagnetic Transient (EMT) studies including Insulation Coordination, Transient Recovery Voltage, Transient overvoltage and lightning studies Leading and delivering study activities for example technical support to proposals, modelling and performing the simulations, results analysis and reporting. Leading and contributing to client meetings & presentations, technical discussions etc. Working closely with team members in the UK and across the globe for studies in transmission, distribution, renewables, and industrial systems.
Here's what you'll need
Minimum of a Degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or higher, Masters or PhD in relevant field. Membership of a recognised professional institution /organisation preferably at a Chartered level - Proficient in power system modelling and analysis using DIgSILENT, PSS/E, ETAP and PSCAD software.Previous work experience in power systems, utility and renewable projects. #LI-SM1 #energy #energytransition #power Joining Jacobs not only connects you locally but globally.
