Financial Accountant

Reference: JOB-8578Financial Accountant, EMEA & AP | Remote UK Christy Media Solutions is recruiting for a Financial Accountant, EMEA & AP on behalf of our client, a growing organisation with an international footprint.This is a standalone role reporting to the Financial Controller, responsible for financial accounting and compliance across multiple legal entities throughout EMEA and Asia Pacific.This position suits an experienced Financial Accountant who enjoys taking ownership of their work and operating with a high level of autonomy, while staying closely connected to a wider global finance function.Key responsibilities include:Preparing and coordinating statutory financial statements across assigned legal entitiesManaging statutory filing requirements across multiple jurisdictionsManaging VAT/GST returns and associated compliance obligationsSupporting corporate tax calculations, provisions and transfer pricing requirementsActing as the key finance contact for external statutory auditsCoordinating audit schedules, documentation, queries and deliverablesSupporting insurance renewals and administrationPreparing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting month-end, quarter-end and year-end closeSupporting regional financial reporting and ad hoc analysisImproving financial controls, compliance processes and documentationSupporting finance transformation and process standardisation initiativesExperience and skills:5+ years of relevant VAT, tax and audit experienceExperience with multicurrency consolidation for UK statutory reportingStrong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and statutory reporting requirementsExperience coordinating external auditsKnowledge of financial controls and compliance frameworksAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsExperience supporting entities across EMEA and Asia PacificUnderstanding of international tax and transfer pricing principlesExposure to ERP/business systems such as NetSuite (The organisation operates a NetSuite environment), Salesforce, Avalara or Tableau Financial Accountant, EMEA & APExperience within a technology company would be advantageous, particularly candidates who have worked in an in-house corporate environment rather than for a service provider.If you are an experienced Financial Accountant looking for an internationally focused position offering autonomy and a broad compliance and reporting remit, we would be interested in hearing from you.Christy Media Solutions is committed to inclusive and equitable recruitment and welcome applications from all backgrounds.
