Design Manager

Design Manager | Residential New Build & Conversions | Hammersmith | Permanent or Freelance   I'm working directly with an established contractor delivering residential new build developments and commercial-to-residential conversion schemes across West and South West London.   This is a broad Design Manager position offering exposure across multiple live projects rather than being tied to a single scheme. You'll work closely with project teams from planning through to completion, helping drive design coordination, technical delivery and programme certainty across the business.   The Role Managing and coordinating the design process across multiple residential and conversion projects • Supporting projects from planning, pre-construction and design development through to completion • Coordinating consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders • Reviewing design information, technical compliance and buildability • Working closely with Project Managers, site teams and commercial teams • Mix of office, site and consultant meetings across West and South West London • Supported by Project Managers, junior Design Managers and Document Controllers where applicable  What they're looking for Design Manager with ideally 5+ years' experience • Degree-qualified background preferred • Residential new build experience essential • Experience on commercial-to-residential conversions would be beneficial • Strong technical and coordination skills • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously • Proactive, organised and delivery-focused  The Business Established contractor delivering residential and mixed-use projects • Schemes typically up to circa 150 units • Strong pipeline of residential new build and conversion projects • West London office base with projects primarily across West and South West London • Collaborative environment with direct exposure to senior leadership • Permanent or freelance options available  This would suit someone looking to broaden their exposure across the full development lifecycle whilst taking ownership of the design process across a varied project portfolio.   Interested?
