Purchasing Buyer

A motivated purchasing Buyer is required for our market leading, award-winning engineering client. The ideal buyer will have the following key skills and experiences;
* Good experience of purchasing, buying, being a buyer, purchasing buyer, procurement, purchasing experience
* Good systems experience, ERP, MRP, SAP or similar ( SAP business one advantageous)
* CIPS qualified or equivalent years experience ( direct buyer, proven buying experience)
* Supplier relationship management experience and negotiation skills
* Experience of procurement processes within engineering, manufacturing or technical industries ideally or similar fast paced environment with multiple suppliers
* Experience, knowledge of imports, exports, freight, customs clearance (advantageous)
This buyer role would suit a dedicated supply chain professional with good buying knowledge and experience of procurement process. Reporting into the Head of Procurement, some key responsibilities of this procurement role are;
* Purchase Order processing - Raise, manage and process purchase orders for goods and services accurately
* Buying, purchasing, negotiating pricing and checking availability
* Invoice and GRPO support
* Import export documentation
* Supplier communication- regarding quotations, order progress, deliveries, pricing queries, availability issues, supplier management
