Purchase Ledger Clerk (Ongoing Temporary Assignment) 📍 Outskirts of Basingstoke 💷 £16.00 - £18.00 per hour 🕒 Full Time, Ongoing Temporary Assignment 🚗 Own transport essential due to location The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a busy and friendly finance team based on the outskirts of Basingstoke. This is an ongoing temporary position offering an immediate start and the opportunity to work within a well-established organisation. Due to the location of the office, candidates must be a car driver with access to their own vehicle as public transport links are limited. Key Responsibilities Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently Matching, batching and coding invoices Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies Managing supplier queries via phone and email Preparing payment runs Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining supplier records Assisting with month-end processes as required Allocating payments and credit notes Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties About You Previous experience within a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable position Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy Good knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel Excellent communication and organisational skills Ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines Available to start at short notice or immediately Full UK driving licence and own transport essential Office Angels is an employment agency and business.
