Cloud Security Architect (Urgent)

Cloud Security Architect London, UK (Hybrid) Cloud Platforms | Cybersecurity | B2B SaaS For one of our clients, a fast-growing technology scale-up based in London, we are looking for a Cloud Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of secure cloud architectures that support the company's continued growth across Europe. This is a strategic, hands-on role for an experienced security professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, influencing architecture decisions, and helping engineering teams build secure-by-design cloud platforms. You'll work closely with engineering, platform, DevOps, and product teams to define security standards, strengthen cloud infrastructure, and ensure security is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle. AWS or Azure • Cloud Security Services • Designing secure cloud-native architectures for scalable software platforms • Defining cloud security standards, governance, and best practices • Leading threat modelling and security architecture reviews • Implementing identity, access management, and zero-trust security principles • Driving DevSecOps initiatives across engineering teams • Supporting compliance, risk management, and security improvement programmes • Collaborating with platform and infrastructure teams to strengthen cloud resilience and operational security 7+ years of experience in Cloud Security, Security Architecture, DevSecOps, or Platform Security • Strong experience designing secure AWS or Azure environments • Deep understanding of Kubernetes, container security, and cloud-native architectures • Strong knowledge of IAM, networking, encryption, and cloud security best practices • Experience with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or NIST • Kubernetes security and admission control tools • Security automation and policy-as-code solutions • Certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, or CCSP • Previous experience mentoring engineers or leading security architecture initiatives Join a rapidly growing technology scale-up where security is a strategic priority Opportunity to shape the company's long-term cloud security strategy Excellent career progression within a business investing heavily in engineering excellence and secure innovation
