Our client is a well-established manufacturer of biomass and energy-from-waste systems with over 45 years of industry experience. Unlike many Field Service Engineer positions, most work consists of planned maintenance, servicing and installation rather than constant breakdown response. Benefits • Travel is mainly there-and-back-in-a-day, with overnight stays typically around 10-12 nights per year • Premium-brand company van • Quality tools and equipment provided, and we only work on the systems we designed, manufactured and installed • 40hr week, paid door-to-door • Dedicated service scheduling team supporting you • Product training and ongoing support • Established and financially stable business • Varied engineering work • Friendly team culture • From £18/hr upwards depending on skills - flexible The Role The successful Field Service Engineer will be responsible for: • Servicing biomass heating systems • Installing and commissioning new equipment • Maintaining industrial shredding equipment • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs • Completing service reports electronically • Attending occasional training and team meetings This Field Service Engineer role offers a mix of planned maintenance, installation, commissioning and occasional reactive service work. Experience Required To be considered for this Field Service Engineer opportunity, you should have experience in one or more of the following: • Field Service Engineering • Mechanical Maintenance • Industrial Plant Equipment • Process Machinery • Heating Systems • Fault Finding and Repair • Installation and Commissioning • Welding or Fabrication (desirable) Engineers from industrial heating, process plant, manufacturing, recycling, materials handling, combustion, HVAC, M&E, heavy engineering or mechanical maintenance backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
