A specialist SEN school in Hackney is seeking a caring and committed School Care Assistant to support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting pupils with complex needs who is confident providing both educational and personal care support within a specialist school environment.

The Role

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with PMLD and SLD.
Support pupils to access lessons, sensory activities and wider school life.
Assist with personal care, including toileting, changing and feeding where required.
Support pupils with mobility and physical needs, including the use of hoists and specialist equipment.
Encourage communication, independence, social development and engagement.
Follow individual care plans, EHCP outcomes and school procedures.
Work closely with teachers, therapists and other specialist staff.
