Senior Civil/ Structural Engineer (Rail)

Our Engineers and Consultants support some of the most innovative energy projects across the UK and Ireland; providing design, intellectual, and engineering services to developers, investors, and owner-operators. As the business grows from strength to strength, we are now looking to further extend our team by recruiting a senior grade civil/structural engineer to work out of our Stockport office 3 days a week, with home working or site/client travel on the other 2 days. a good degree in either Civil or Structural Engineering; recent technical experience gained with civils projects, ideally from within a consultancy, with renewable energy or electrical transmission project knowledge. experience of conducting quality inspections of materials and methods such as pre-formed and cast concrete structures, drainage, and steelwork; excellent knowledge of foundations, piling, structural steelwork, drainage to UK and European building standards (Eurocodes). A good understanding of geotechnical risks. the ability to produce and explain high quality technical reports and feasibility studies for clients; comfortable in interpreting engineering drawings, design specifications and functional descriptions; fully conversant with Microsoft Office; knowledge of CDM Regulations and risk assessments, able to identify design risks; able to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary project team; a full driving licence and vehicle for travel to sites/meetings.
