Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Complex Care Support Workers to provide high-quality, person-centred care to a 66-year-old gentleman in his own home in Great Yarmouth .
The individual lives with a C3 spinal cord injury and requires support with bowel care, personal care, and daily living activities to maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life at home.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support an individual with a spinal injury, ensuring he can live safely and comfortably in his own environment with the right level of care and support.
This role operates on a rota basis (Monday to Sunday) , Shifts are provided in advance and paid weekly.
Responsibilities
Deliver person-centred care in line with the individual's care plan
Provide all aspects of personal care with dignity and respect
Support with bowel care procedures in line with training and protocols
Assist with mobility and safe moving and handling using appropriate equipment
Support with medication administration in accordance with care plans
Monitor and report changes in health, wellbeing, or condition
Support with daily routines including hygiene, dressing, and nutrition
Provide emotional support and companionship
Assist with household tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
Support with accessing the community and attending appointments where required
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Work closely with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent care
Experience & Requirements
At least 6 months UK care experience required
Experience supporting individuals with spinal injuries is highly desirable
Experience with bowel care is essential or willingness to be trained xwzovoh
Strong communication and observational skills
Calm, patient, and reliable approach to care
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential
