You will support the Engineering team in delivering a safe, efficient and well‑maintained environment for both guests and associates. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and hands‑on professional who takes pride in problem‑solving and maintaining high operational standards within a luxury setting.Key ResponsibilitiesRespond promptly to guest maintenance requests, ensuring efficient and professional resolutionPerform routine preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, kitchen and HVAC equipmentInspect tools, machinery and facilities, identifying faults and carrying out necessary repairsTroubleshoot and conduct basic repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general maintenance areasCarry out painting, minor repairs, fixture replacements and general upkeep of guest rooms and public areasMaintain and manage inventory of tools, parts and engineering suppliesIdentify and operate shut‑off valves and utility systems safely and effectivelyCommunicate daily activities, maintenance issues and handover notes across shiftsSupport maintenance of landscaping systems, including irrigation and external areasUse appropriate safety systems, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, at all timesMaintain accurate records and utilise basic computer systems to log work and adjust equipment settingsEnsure all work areas are clean, safe and compliant with health and safety standardsCollaborate with other departments to ensure minimal disruption to guest experienceCore CompetenciesWe are seeking a dependable and technically skilled individual with a proactive approach to maintenance and problem‑solving. You will bring versatility, attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility. You should have:Basic knowledge across multiple disciplines, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and general maintenanceAbility to diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficientlyStrong organisational skills and attention to detailA service‑oriented mindset with the ability to interact professionally with guestsGood communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a teamUnderstanding of health & safety procedures within an engineering environmentAbility to work under pressure and respond quickly to operational needsBasic computer skills for logging and tracking maintenance activitiesPhysical capability to perform the operational requirements of the role
