Senior Recruitment Officer – Band 4 Location: Recruitment Shared Service Centre, Armagh Hours: 37.5 hours per week Salary: £25,147 – £27,596 Working Pattern: Full-time We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Recruitment Officer, Band 4 to join the Recruitment Shared Service Centre based in Armagh . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced recruitment or HR administrator who is ready to take on additional responsibility within a busy, high-volume recruitment environment. The successful candidate will help deliver a professional and efficient recruitment and selection service, managing their own recruitment caseload while also supervising and supporting Recruitment Officers within the team. Key Responsibilities As Senior Recruitment Officer, your duties will include: Managing a caseload of recruitment and selection activity from initial requisition through to appointment. Supervising and supporting junior members of the recruitment team, providing guidance on more complex cases. Ensuring recruitment activity is processed efficiently and in accordance with relevant procedures, legislation and best practice. Managing and monitoring pre-employment checks , following up on discrepancies or areas of concern. Liaising professionally with recruiting managers and candidates throughout the recruitment process. Ensuring the E-recruitment system is accurately maintained and updated in real time. Monitoring workloads, recruitment activity and performance against agreed KPIs. Identifying delays or issues within the recruitment process and taking appropriate action to resolve them. Providing advice and guidance to managers on operational recruitment and selection matters. Responding to recruitment queries from managers, employees, candidates and members of the public. Supporting the management and maintenance of recruitment waiting lists. Assisting with queries and complaints relating to recruitment and selection. Providing training, guidance and ongoing support to Recruitment Officers. Supporting recruitment events, including open days and recruitment fairs where required. Producing and assisting with recruitment reports and management information. Contributing to the continuous improvement of recruitment processes, systems and customer service. Essential Criteria Applicants must meet one of the following : Option 1 ~2 A Levels or equivalent/higher qualification ~ AND 18 months’ experience in a clerical or administrative role, of which at least 12 months must have been within a Human Resources or Recruitment environment OR Option 2 ~3 years’ experience in a clerical or administrative role, of which at least 12 months must have been within a Human Resources or Recruitment environment Applicants must also have: ~ Experience using Microsoft Office , including as a minimum Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel . Skills & Knowledge The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate: The ability to work effectively as part of a team. The ability to lead, supervise and support staff . Confidence working on their own initiative. The ability to identify problems and recommend appropriate solutions. Strong planning and organisational skills. The ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. An understanding of employment legislation relevant to recruitment and selection . Desirable Criteria It would be advantageous to have: ~ Previous experience working within a high-volume recruitment environment .
