Operations Director - Business Management

This is a newly created role to join a growing business and take ownership of a broad operational function across warehouse, manufacturing and transport. We are looking for a hands-on operational leader and exceptional people manager who can inspire and develop a high-performing team, while playing a key role in shaping the continued growth of the operation. This is an opportunity to make a real impact by driving productivity, service excellence, cost efficiency and continuous improvement. Duties Lead and develop the warehouse, manufacturing and distribution teams of approximately 15-20 people Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including goods-in, stock control, storage, picking and dispatch. Oversee production planning, output and resource utilisation Manage transport and delivery operations, including driver management, scheduling and route planning. Monitor operational performance and KPIs Drive continuous improvement and cost-control initiatives across the operation. Ensure high standards of health & safety, compliance and operational standards are maintained. Work closely with Procurement, Sales, Finance and senior management to support business performance and customer commitments. Ensure effective processes, systems and reporting are in place across the operation. Skills A genuinely hands-on management style Proven experience managing warehouse, logistics, distribution, manufacturing or similar operational environments Excellent people-management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop employees A strong understanding of operational KPIs, productivity and continuous improvement A strong understanding of health & safety and operational compliance Of offer - Competitive basic salary, open to discussion depending on experience, plus a performance-related bonus.
