Skilled Workshop Operative Are you an experienced woodworker looking for your next opportunity? Our client in Reading is seeking a skilled and reliable Workshop Operative to join their busy team manufacturing high-quality outdoor furniture and timber products. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, use their own initiative, and produce quality work with little or no supervision. Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00–16:00 Pay Rates: * 3-day trial period paid at £12.71 per hour * Following successful completion of the trial and demonstration of the required skills and ability to work without supervision, the pay rate increases to £14.10 per hour * Overtime after 10 hours per day and all hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays are paid at £21.15 per hour What you'll do: * Manufacture and assemble high-quality outdoor furniture and timber products * Cut, shape and prepare timber and other materials * Operate workshop tools, machinery and saws safely and efficiently * Work independently to complete jobs to a high standard * Maintain quality standards and identify any issues * Keep the workshop clean, organised and safe What you'll need: * Previous woodworking, joinery or furniture manufacturing experience * Experience making furniture from timber * Ability to work independently with little or no supervision * Confidence using hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery * Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality workmanship * A proactive and practical approach to work Why apply? * Immediate start available * Ongoing temporary work * Opportunity to work for an established company producing quality outdoor furniture * Supportive team environment Interested?
