About the role
Straight Forward Recruitment is recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Technician – Quality Systems to join our client’s growing quality team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and detail-focused quality professional looking to develop their career within the food manufacturing/food supplements sector.
Locations: Attleborough & Honingham – working between both sites
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Working Pattern: Full-time
Transport: Must have your own transport due to working across two sites
Reporting to the Quality Control & Compliance Manager, you will play an important role in maintaining the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring products meet the required quality, safety and regulatory standards.
Working alongside the Operations Quality Technician, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day administration of the quality systems and provide support across the wider quality function.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier approval and supplier record management
Reviewing COAs and other supplier documentation
Goods-in documentation
Customer complaint logging and administration
Non-conformance and CAPA administration
Document and SOP control
Maintaining training and calibration records
Product specification updates
Internal audit preparation and follow-up
KPI data collection and reporting
Supporting BRC, GMP, ISO, customer and supplier audits
Investigating quality issues and customer complaints
Supporting troubleshooting of formulation and manufacturing process issues
Identifying opportunities for improvements in quality and efficiency
Supporting sustainability and environmental initiatives
Working closely with production, compliance and other departments
About You
Ideally, you will have previous experience in a Quality Control, Quality Assurance or Quality Systems role, preferably within food manufacturing, food supplements, pharmaceuticals or another regulated environment.
You should have:
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Experience with quality documentation and record keeping
An understanding of QMS, CAPA and non-conformance processes
Experience or knowledge of internal audits
The ability to review specifications, COAs and supplier documentation
Good communication and problem-solving skills
A proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues
The ability to work confidently across different departments and sites
Knowledge of GMP, BRC, HACCP, ISO standards or food supplement regulations would be advantageous.
