WHAT TO EXPECT    In this role, working within Vehicle Dynamics, you will lead vehicle rig test activities on a range of Jaguar Land Rover and competitor vehicles, collecting, processing and disseminating data required to deliver leadership in vehicle dynamics against world-class competition.   The ability to understand vehicle and system performance within a controlled rig environment is critical to increasing customer satisfaction and to reducing time to market by providing accurate data to guide vehicle development activities.   As part of this role, you will also support vehicle development by performing road-based vehicle tests. To be successful, the candidate will need to possess a high level of drive and leadership, be capable of working to tight deadlines, and display technical acumen.   Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities   Manage rig and vehicle bookings for 4 poster testPerform vehicle and rig instrumentation, testing and results disseminationContinuously improve test efficiency and effectivenessProvide 4 poster theoretical and practical training to engineersKeep abreast of competitor and industry trends applicable to 4 poster tests, instrumentation and data analysisSupport the team towards understanding of complex technical issues and their resolutionUndertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested     WHAT YOU NEED Knowledge, Skills and experience   Essential: Demonstrable rig test or vehicle objective test experiencePractical experience of ride or vibration data analysisProject and test plan managementSound knowledge of vehicle dynamicsFull UK or equivalent driving licenseInter-personal communication/networking skills   Desirable: Experience with data processing tools such as Matlab, Prosig DATS, LMSEngineering relevant degree qualificationVehicle dynamics subjective evaluation skillsPrevious experience of problem-solving tools e.g. Root Cause Analysis, 8 Disciplines of problem solving, Design of ExperimentsExperience with relevant virtual tools such as Simpack, Carmaker, Matlab/Simulink   SO WHY US?
