The Role We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an experienced team. You will design everything from small retrofit camera assemblies to large-scale industrial automation machinery. Key Responsibilities 3D Design: Create mechanical models, detailed drawings, and schematics in SolidWorks under the Design Lead. Pneumatics: Produce full pneumatic system concepts, component specifications, and schematics. Visualisation: Produce 3D renders of concepts and machines for sales/marketing. System Integration: Specify automation components and design to international engineering standards. Hands-on Delivery: Collaborate with Applications Engineering to deliver projects on time, assisting with hands-on system builds as required.Candidate Requirements Essential: 3+ years designing industrial automation or special-purpose machinery. 3+ years experience with 3D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks). Degree-educated (2:1 or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Strong logical problem-solving abilities and high attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a team-first mindset.Desirable: Integration experience with machine vision technologies. Rendering software skills (Blender, SolidWorks Visualize) or 3D printing experience. Full, clean UK Driving Licence
