Must have’s
* Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a claims management or team leader role within commercial insurance
* Strong background in insurance broking and commercial claims handling
* Experience leading, coaching and developing teams
* Strong understanding of insurance principles and regulatory/legal frameworks
* Confident managing performance, MI reporting and operational workflows
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Nice to have’s
* Cert CII qualification (or working towards)
* Experience working across multiple office locations or regional teams
* Exposure to complaints handling and regulatory escalation processes
* Experience using performance dashboards and MI tools
So, what will you be doing?
Leading, coaching and mentoring a commercial claims team
Running regular 1–2–1s, performance reviews and development plans
Driving a culture of accountability, high performance and continuous improvement
Supporting recruitment, onboarding and performance management activity
Overseeing day-to-day claims operations and workflow management
Supporting resolution of complex claims and escalations
Managing complaints in line with regulatory requirements
Working closely with Compliance, HR, L&D and Broking teams
Producing and reviewing claims MI and performance reports
Identifying trends, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
Using data and dashboards to improve efficiency and service delivery
Supporting audits and ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance
Building strong internal and external relationships
Working closely with client servicing teams to improve client outcomes
Acting as an escalation point for complex issues
Ensuring consistently high levels of client service across the team
