Senior Specialty Treaty Reinsurance Underwriter

Are you an experienced underwriter ready to take on a strategic role with global impact? A leading reinsurer is seeking a senior-level professional to join its Specialty Treaty team in London - with a focus on Marine, Energy, Aviation War, Political Violence and other Specialty lines. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing team at the heart of the international market.
You’ll be responsible for underwriting complex treaty risks, shaping portfolio strategy, and leading broker and client relationships across key territories. Whether you currently work in treaty reinsurance or bring deep technical knowledge from the specialty insurance market, your insight and commercial judgement will be critical in helping drive the next phase of the portfolio’s growth.
We’re looking for someone with 8–10+ years of underwriting experience in either treaty reinsurance or specialty insurance, ideally with exposure to international programs and structured deals. Strong analytical skills, market connectivity, and a confident, collaborative style are essential. This role offers meaningful influence, visibility, and the chance to help steer a globally respected book of business.
