Work Pattern: Monday - Thursday 8.45am - 4.45pm, Friday 8.45am - 4.15pm

An opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager Post within the Hospital Social Work team on a permeant basis.

The successful candidate would have responsibility for progressing the work and management of the hospital team for pathway 2 and 3 patients.

The operations manager can be a current operations manager looking to work within a hospital setting and or a Social Worker or Senior practitioner looking for a promotion into a management role with relevant experience. We are looking to enhance our multi-disciplinary approach to discharge planning and extending the interest to Care at Home and Occupational therapy in recognition of the hospital discharge activity.

The operations manager will manage Social Work Assistants and Social Workers and support their learning and upskilling, as well overseeing the quality of work and throughput of the hospital team. The Operations manager will be responsible for liaising with Localities, acute colleagues, families and other professionals in relation to referred cases and will be supported and managed by the Fieldwork Manager.

Applicants must have experience within social work, homecare and or occupational therapy services. They must also have a knowledge and understanding of Assessment, Long term care, Self-Directed Support, Risk assessment, discharge coordination, homecare, reablement and must demonstrate the ability to manage staff.

Canvassing of Elected Members or employees of South Lanarkshire's Council directly or indirectly in connection with any appointment within the Council shall disqualify the applicant.
