A milestone's at risk. You're the one in the room with the plan, the budget and the answer.
Our client is a fast-growing advanced composites manufacturer supplying aerospace, automotive, defence and space. They need a Project Manager with real composites or aerospace experience, someone who's delivered physical hardware to customer schedules and knows what "industrialisation" actually looks like on a shop floor.
You'll:
Own project delivery end to end, from kick-off through to completion
Build real project plans, with critical paths, resource loading and honest timelines
Keep cost and schedule in the same picture, so trade-offs get made with full visibility
Be the main point of contact for customers and internal teams, with reporting that's concise and paired with action
Spot risks early, quantify them and escalate before they become problems
Feed lessons learned back into how the team plans and governs future projects
You'll need:
Composites or aerospace project experience is the priority here, not a nice-to-have
Hands-on project management delivering physical hardware, through industrialisation and into production
A track record running multiple projects at once without losing control of any of them
Strong Office 365 skills, particularly Project, Excel and PowerPoint
The commercial awareness to manage budgets and change properly
Automotive or space experience will also be considered. APM/PMP/PRINCE2 or grant-funded project exposure (Innovate UK, ATI, ESA) are a bonus.
