Early Years SENCO Teacher

About the Role Fox Morris is seeking a passionate and experienced Early Years SENCO Teacher to lead and coordinate provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will work collaboratively with teaching staff, support services, parents/carers, and external agencies to promote inclusive practice and improve outcomes for pupils with SEND. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage the school’s SEND provision in line with statutory requirements and local authority guidance * Identify and assess pupils with SEN, ensuring appropriate interventions and support plans are in place * Work closely with teachers to adapt curriculum and teaching strategies * Liaise with parents/carers, external professionals, and agencies * Maintain accurate SEND records, including EHCP documentation * Monitor and evaluate the impact of SEN provision and report to Senior Leadership * Support staff development through training and guidance on inclusive practice Essential Requirements * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) * Previous experience working with young children with SEND * Strong understanding of SEND legislation and the Code of Practice * Excellent communication and organisational skills * Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one prior to employment) Desirable Criteria * Leadership experience within a school or SEND setting * Experience managing EHCP processes * Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and multi-agency working What We Offer * A supportive and collaborative working environment * Ongoing professional development opportunities * Access to Local Authority support networks and training * The chance to make a real difference in children’s lives How to Apply Please submit your application form and supporting statement outlining your suitability for the role to the email provided
