Our client are market leaders in their industry sector. They are now looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis.
The Job you’ll do
* Plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance activities across all plant machinery and systems to minimise downtime.
* Lead and manage a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure high standards of work.
* Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules in line with manufacturer specifications and operational demands.
* Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and automation issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
* Manage projects related to equipment upgrades, repairs, or installations, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
* Oversee the utilisation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control systems optimisation.
* Analyse equipment performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions accordingly.
* Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and equipment history for compliance and reporting purposes.
* Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations during all maintenance operations.
* Requirements
* Proven management experience with a strong background in supervising maintenance teams within industrial or manufacturing environments.
* Demonstrable project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
About You
* Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, schematics, and automation controls including PLCs.
* Strong leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills to oversee maintenance programmes effectively.
* Previous experience in managing maintenance operations with a focus on reliability-centred practices.
* Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience is essential for diagnosing and resolving diverse technical issues.
* Fluency in English is required for clear communication across teams and documentation purposes.
* Relevant qualifications in engineering or technical fields are preferred; certifications in management or project management are advantageous.
