Assistant Site Manager Location: Sunderland Employment type: Contract opportunities Salary/rate: Competitive, dependent on experience The Opportunity We are seeking Assistant Site Managers in the local area to join our growing candidate network for current and upcoming construction projects. Key Responsibilities • Support the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of construction sites • Help coordinate subcontractors, trades, materials and site logistics • Monitor progress against programme deadlines • Maintain high standards of health, safety and site presentation • Assist with quality inspections, snagging and handovers • Attend site meetings and provide progress updates • Maintain accurate site records and documentation • Help resolve operational issues efficiently • Promote positive working relationships across the site team About You You will ideally have: • Previous experience in an Assistant Site Manager, Site Supervisor or similar role • A sound understanding of construction processes and site operations • Strong organisational and communication skills • The confidence to coordinate trades and manage competing priorities • A proactive, practical approach to problem-solving • Good knowledge of health and safety requirements • The ability to work effectively as part of a busy site team • A full UK driving licence, where required Desirable Qualifications • SMSTS or SSSTS • CSCS card • First Aid at Work • Relevant construction management qualification, such as an NVQ, HNC or degree • Open to all construction sectors • Open to both freelance and permanent work Register Your Interest If you are an Assistant Site Manager based in or around the Sunderland area and we would like to hear from you.
