Scale LBR5 (Scale Points 12–15)
£32,535 – £33,987 FTE per annum (dependent on experience)
£27,954.89 – £29,202.49 pro rata per annum
Start Date: 1 September 2026

We are seeking to appoint a proactive, enthusiastic and committed Librarian to join our successful secondary school. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who understands the transformative power of literacy and is dedicated to supporting students' learning, personal development and aspirations beyond the classroom.
The school library sits at the heart of our teaching and learning culture, providing a welcoming and engaging environment that promotes a lifelong love of reading. We are looking for a candidate who can build on our strong literacy provision and continue to develop an innovative and dynamic library service that supports the academic and personal growth of all students.
The successful candidate will:
- Manage and develop the school library as a vibrant learning hub.
- Promote reading for pleasure and support whole-school literacy initiatives.
- Inspire students to engage with reading and independent study.
- Support groups and individual students within the library environment.
- Organise literacy-focused events, activities and enrichment opportunities.
- Contribute to extracurricular provision that promotes literacy, study skills and student achievement.
- Work collaboratively with staff to support teaching and learning across the curriculum.
