Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Hlta)

HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) Location: Redbridge/Epping Forest Area Pay: £26,000 - £30,000 Duration: Permanent - Full-time | Temp-to-Perm Start: ASAP / Flexible Luma Education Recruitment is seeking a committed HLTA to support and guide pupils of all abilities, including those with SEN, SEMH, ASD, and ADHD, helping them thrive daily in a positive, engaging environment. Key Responsibilities: * Lead 1:1 and small group interventions to support learning and development * Plan and deliver engaging lessons under the guidance of the class teacher * Implement and model behaviour strategies (PRICE / TeamTeach experience desirable) * Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional progress across the curriculum * Promote and maintain a calm, positive, and inclusive classroom environment Requirements: * HLTA qualified or working towards Level 4 TA status is desired but not essential * Flexible, proactive, and confident in leading learning and interventions * Experience supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and behavioural needs * Positive, patient, and resilient approach to helping pupils thrive * School or youth work experience * Enhanced DBS (on Update Service) required Benefits: * Efficient registration process and expert payroll support * Long-term stability with permanent potential * CPD and ongoing training opportunities * Dedicated consultants helping you find the best roles About Luma Education Recruitment Luma Education Recruitment connects talented teachers and support staff with schools across the UK.
