Health and Safety Lead

Location: Warrington (Hybrid - Office, Home & Site Based)Salary: Circa £55,000 + 10% Car Allowance + 10% BonusBenefits: Company Pension, Hybrid Working, Genuine Career Progression The OpportunityAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a hands-on Health & Safety Officer to join a growing engineering and construction business delivering mechanical and electrical projects across the UK. This role will support projects ranging from small-scale installations through to major schemes valued at over £20m. Significant UK travel is required, spending time on active project sites, supporting operational teams and ensuring high standards of Health & Safety compliance.Reporting to the Contracts Director, with support from the Group Health & Safety Director, you will play a key role in maintaining a positive safety culture as the business continues to grow. Key Responsibilities Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance reviews across UK project sites. Support Project Managers, Engineers and Site Teams with practical Health & Safety advice. Review RAMS and ensure safe systems of work are implemented. Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses. Monitor compliance with relevant legislation and company procedures. Support contractor management and CDM compliance activities. Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings. Produce reports and track corrective actions through to completion. About You Previous experience in a Health & Safety Advisor, Officer or Coordinator position. Experience supporting M&E installation, engineering or construction projects. NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent). Strong communicator with a practical, site-focused approach. Comfortable travelling extensively across the UK and working autonomously. Full UK Driving Licence. What's on Offer?
