Kitchen Assistant Enfield Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm Pay Rate: £13.77 per hour Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support the delivery of a high-quality catering service in line with local authority standards. The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and help ensure the safe and efficient operation of the kitchen. Key Responsibilities Assist with basic food preparation and cooking duties Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen area Support kitchen staff with daily catering operations Ensure food is stored, labelled, and rotated correctly Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures Assist with washing up and general kitchen housekeeping Complete simple records and forms as required Candidate Requirements Previous experience within catering or the service industry is essential Some experience preparing and cooking food Knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations Basic Food Hygiene training completed Ability to communicate effectively Ability to read basic written instructions and complete simple forms in English Understanding of food cleanliness, storage, and stock rotation procedures Well presented with high standards of personal hygiene What We Offer Monday to Friday working hours Competitive hourly pay Supportive working environment Opportunity to work within a professional catering team To apply, please submit your CV today
