Job Description HGV Class 1 Driver - West Bromwich \n People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in West Bromwich, West Midlands . \n This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and genuine opportunities to grow and progress. \n This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 1 Driver , CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver . \n Shifts \n   •  Thursday to Monday \n   •  Afternoon starts between 14:00 and 17:00 \n Rates of Pay \n   •  £17.20 per hour (basic) \n   •  £20.00 per hour after 20:00 (Monday to Saturday) \n   •  £22.00 per hour (Sunday) \n Benefits \n   •  Excellent hourly rates \n   •  Ongoing work \n   •  Weekly pay \n   •  On-site canteen \n   •  Training provided \n   •  Immediate starts \n   •  Employee well-being programme \n Day-to-Day Duties \n   •  Carrying out RDC or brewery deliveries (curtain-side, no handball required) \n   •  Operating and driving Class 1 (Category CE) vehicles safely and efficiently \n   •  Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections \n   •  Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly \n   •  Adhering to traffic laws and regulations \n   •  Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers \n   •  Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management \n   •  Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo as required \n   •  Delivering cages to DCs and supermarkets \n   •  Completing up to 2 drops per shift \n Essential Skills \n   •  Valid UK Category CE driving licence \n   •  Minimum of 12 month's experience driving CE vehicles \n   •  Valid UK Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card \n   •  No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsement codes \n   •  Good level of spoken and written English \n   •  Punctual with excellent time-keeping \n   •  Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations \n   •  Effective communication skills \n Desirable Experience \n   •  Previous commercial driving experience \n   •  Previous multi-drop delivery experience \n Training Provided \n   •  Driver assessment must be completed before starting \n Contact: If you are ready to take on this opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Driver, please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch. \
