This is a key role responsible for delivering complex technical programmes, acting as the engineering focal point within multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring successful project outcomes.Depending on experience, you will either lead a small team of engineers while maintaining strong technical involvement (Lead Engineer) or operate as a highly skilled specialist providing deep technical expertise (Senior Engineer).Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary technical focal point for engineering programmes, including direct customer engagementLead and contribute to engineering design, analysis, and development activitiesPlan, schedule, and deliver engineering work in line with cost, quality, and time constraintsProvide technical leadership and guidance to engineers and techniciansReview and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring robust engineering solutionsOversee preparation of engineering documentation including drawings, reports, and specificationsDrive continuous improvement in engineering processes and practicesSupport new product development activities from concept through to introductionLiaise with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and commercial functionsContribute to team development, including mentoring, performance management, and training (Lead level)Support compliance with aerospace standards, certification, and regulatory requirementsRepresent Moog professionally, balancing technical integrity with commercial considerationsDesirable Skills and ExperienceExperience in a senior or lead engineering role within aerospace or another highly regulated industryStrong technical expertise in a relevant discipline such as mechanical, hydraulic systems, actuation, stress, or designProven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex engineering programmesExperience acting as a technical authority with customer-facing responsibilitiesStrong understanding of new product development lifecycles, from concept to certification and productionDemonstrated ability to deliver engineering projects within budget and schedule constraintsExcellent problem-solving skills with experience resolving complex technical challengesKnowledge of aerospace regulations, airworthiness requirements, and certification processesExperience with engineering documentation, including technical reports, specifications, and drawingsFamiliarity with MRB and Engineering Order processes (desirable)Experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing engineering teamsStrong communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, and commercial functionsCommercial awareness with the ability to balance business needs and engineering integrityContinuous improvement mindset with experience enhancing engineering processesDegree in Engineering or equivalent practical experienceWhat We OfferMoog Named to Glassdoor’s 2026 Best Places to WorkFlexible benefits package and development opportunities to support career progression33 days annual leave (including bank holidays)Private medical insurance, mental health support and financial adviceOnsite 24/7 state-of-the-art GymGenerous life assurance and company pension contribution (from 6%)Employee share options, EV chargingYou Matter at Moog – Our Mission and VisionSecurity ClearanceBaseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
