We are recruiting a DFG Surveyor to join a respected social housing group in Essex delivering essential adaptations and improvement works across the community.

As a DFG Surveyor , you will play a key role in assessing properties, managing Disabled Facilities Grant applications, and ensuring vulnerable residents can remain safe and independent in their homes.

Whats on offer: Salary: £40,612 per annum Full-time position with flexible and hybrid working arrangements Generous annual leave entitlement plus public holidays Local Government Pension Scheme Ongoing professional training and career progression Employee wellbeing support and assistance programmes Mileage allowance and business travel support Retail, lifestyle, and healthcare discounts Collaborative and supportive working environment DFG Surveyor key responsibilities include: Managing Disabled Facilities Grant cases from referral through to completion Carrying out property inspections and technical assessments Preparing schedules of work and specifications for adaptations Overseeing contractors and ensuring works are completed to a high standard Providing technical advice to residents, families, and partner agencies Ensuring compliance with relevant housing legislation, health and safety standards, and organisational procedures Supporting service improvement and maintaining accurate project records Working closely with Occupational Therapists and external stakeholders to deliver effective outcomes for residents The successful DFG Surveyor will have: Experience delivering Disabled Facilities Grant or housing adaptation projects Strong knowledge of housing construction, repairs, xwzovoh and building regulations Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills The ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently A relevant surveying, construction, or technical qualification A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle If youre a DFG Surveyor looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference to peoples lives while developing your career within a respected social housing group in Essex, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
