Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
We are looking for an Engineering Compliance & Facilities Manager to join our Skelmersdale site, playing a critical role in ensuring safe, compliant and sustainable engineering operations.
This is a high-impact site leadership role, responsible for driving engineering compliance, utilities performance, facilities management, and sustainability strategy. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure all statutory and regulatory requirements are fully met, while improving efficiency, reliability and environmental performance across the site.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Compliance & Risk Management
Lead and manage site-wide engineering compliance programmes
Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, insurer and internal standards
Coordinate audits, inspections and ensure all actions are completed
Oversee key compliance areas including:
Electrical systems
Legionella
Pressure systems (PSSR)
Lifting operations (LOLER)
Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV)
F Gas
Fire protection systems
Process safety systems
Ensure competent duty holders are in place and documentation is maintained
Utilities & Technical Leadership
Provide technical expertise across site utilities and plant systems
Monitor performance, identify trends and implement improvements
Drive efficiency, reliability and sustainability initiatives
Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies and best practice
Site wide energy management and utility usage
Environmental reporting
Facilities & Contractor Management
Manage facilities and utilities service contracts
Implement robust facilities management strategies and frameworks
Govern site contractor control and safe systems of work
Uphold high standards of site safety and compliance
Continuous Improvement & Leadership
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence
Lead, coach and develop team members
Communicate performance, risks and improvement plans to stakeholders
Support delivery of operational and business objectives
What We're Looking For
Strong experience in engineering compliance, utilities or facilities management within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Proven knowledge of UK statutory compliance and engineering standards
Experience managing contractors and service providers
Ability to lead, influence and engage teams across site functions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on improvement and sustainability xwzovoh
