Structural Engineering Technician Bath | Hybrid Working We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded structural engineering consultancy seeking a Structural Engineering Technician to join its growing design team in Bath. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Technician with 1-3 years' experience to develop their technical skills and gain exposure to a diverse range of building structures projects across the residential, commercial, education, healthcare and mixed-use sectors. The successful candidate will join a collaborative and supportive team environment, working closely with experienced Structural Engineers and Senior Technicians on projects from concept design through to construction. The Role As a Structural Engineering Technician, you will play a key role in the production of technical drawings, structural detailing and BIM models for a variety of building structures projects. Working alongside Engineers and Designers, you will contribute to the delivery of accurate and high-quality drawing packages while developing your understanding of structural engineering design and construction methodologies. Key Responsibilities Producing structural drawings and technical detailing using AutoCAD and Revit. Assisting with the preparation of general arrangement drawings, sections and construction details. Developing and maintaining 3D BIM models for building structures projects. Preparing reinforced concrete, steelwork, timber and masonry detailing where required. Supporting Structural Engineers with project delivery and design coordination. Coordinating drawing information with architects, contractors and other design disciplines. Ensuring all drawing outputs comply with company standards and project requirements. Maintaining accurate project documentation and drawing registers. Contributing to BIM workflows and digital engineering initiatives. About You 1-3 years' experience as a Structural Technician, CAD Technician or Revit Technician within a consultancy environment. Proficient in AutoCAD with working knowledge of Revit. Experience producing drawings for building structures projects. Understanding of structural engineering principles and construction detailing. Knowledge of steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber structures would be advantageous. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction or CAD-related discipline desirable. What's On Offer Competitive salary and benefits package.
