About the role

Job Overview

Senior Director, Real‑World Data Sales – EMEA, responsible for developing and expanding new business opportunities in real‑world data across the region. Focus on client stakeholders in pricing, market access, medical affairs, HEOR, and late‑phase studies.

Responsibilities

  1. Client engagement & business understanding: maintain and strengthen professional relationships, develop deep client knowledge, manage client feedback, act as a point of contact for tensions or complaints.
  2. Operations management: lead operational management of RWD activities across local and international markets, manage strategic and key account relationships, identify customer needs, collaborate with RFX, pricing & contracts teams, and align with Market Measurement team.
  3. Shaping client perception of IQVIA: identify opportunities to engage clients with marketing and thought‑leadership materials, manage the annual Strategic Management Review, create peer‑to‑peer engagement opportunities.
  4. Bringing innovation to clients: leverage deep client knowledge to identify strategic discussions and major opportunities, contribute to the Sales and Account Management community.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of Real‑World Data.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or similar roles within pharma, CRO, health, life sciences, or other regulated industries.
  • Strong understanding of medical, health economics, pricing & market access principles.
  • Proven track record managing mid‑ and senior‑level client relationships.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and project‑management skills.
  • Experience engaging with outsourcing, procurement, and mid‑management stakeholders.
  • Excellent business and industry awareness with strong understanding of market trends.
  • Analytical skills for interpreting customer business data.
  • Ability to manage demanding timelines and influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide weekly CRM updates on client activities, RFX, and contract status.
  • Ability to work creatively in a fast‑paced environment with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.
