Health & Safety Manager Plymouth | £55,000 - £70,000 + Benefits An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a large-scale industrial operation in Plymouth. This is a strategic leadership role where you'll be responsible for developing and driving the Health & Safety agenda across a complex, high-risk environment. You'll lead the implementation of robust management systems, promote a proactive safety culture, and support continuous improvement across the business. Key Responsibilities * Lead and develop Health & Safety strategy and systems. * Maintain and improve ISO 45001 management systems. * Manage audits, inspections, risk assessments, and investigations. * Provide expert guidance on UK Health & Safety legislation. * Support operational teams with contractor management and safe systems of work. * Lead, coach, and develop the Health & Safety team. * Drive a positive and proactive safety culture throughout the organisation. About You * Proven experience in a Senior Health & Safety role within heavy industry, manufacturing, mining, quarrying, engineering, or a similar environment. * Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements. * Experience implementing and managing ISO-certified systems. * Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. * NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent essential; CMIOSH or working towards desirable Next steps: For an informal discussion please call Jo or Cat on (phone number removed) or apply as instructed.
