About the Role
What you’ll be doing
- Work closely with senior design leadership to grow and refine our design framework.
- The role is to provide temporary cover to the operations director whilst OD is partially seconded with wider responsibilities.
- The role will deputise for the OD for specific areas of responsibility, namely: Supply Chain, Trials, Diving, Commissioning, Quality & HSE.
- Responsibilities will include usual director level tasks, such as defining and monitoring objectives, defining and monitoring budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance, line management of department heads, stakeholder management, and other duties typically expected from a senior leader.
- Day to day activity will involve chairing meetings, presenting information upwards and downwards in the business, interacting with team members at all levels in the business, guiding department heads, aligning with Operations Director and other such activities required to effectively lead an operations team.
Qualifications and Experience
- The ideal candidate will be of senior leadership calibre with appropriate experience and working knowledge of the specific areas above.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in a technology development company, preferably in the maritime, defence or aerospace industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong business acumen.
- Experience with ISO 9001 QMS systems and practices is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills.

- Duration: 6 months
- Weekly pay
- Monday - Friday
