Primary SEN Teacher – Autism Provision (High Needs) Location: Lambeth, SW2 Contract: Full-time Salary: Inner London Pay Scale (MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance) About the Role We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to join a specialist autism provision in Lambeth, supporting pupils with high needs autism. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a real difference within a well-resourced and supportive SEN environment. You will deliver a personalised curriculum tailored to pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), many of whom have complex communication and sensory needs. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, highly differentiated lessons linked to EHCP outcomes Create a structured, consistent, and nurturing classroom environment Support pupils’ communication, social development, and emotional regulation Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and parents/carers Track and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed Implement effective behaviour and sensory strategies to support learningIdeal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Has experience teaching pupils with autism and complex needs Has worked in an SEN School or specialist provision (highly desirable) Demonstrates a strong understanding of autism-friendly teaching approaches Is patient, flexible, and committed to inclusive educationDesirable: Experience using the Attention Autism approach Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or alternative communication systems Experience supporting children with sensory processing differencesWhat We Offer A welcoming and supportive SEN team High-quality CPD and specialist autism training Excellent teaching resources and facilities Opportunities for career progression within SENApply Now If you’re an enthusiastic SEN Teacher ready to make a positive impact in a specialist autism setting, we’d love to hear from you.
