- United Kingdom Type: Permanent Senior Hardware Design Engineer (RF & High-Speed Electronics) Our client is a specialist engineering organisation delivering advanced wireless and electronic hardware solutions for use in highly demanding, secure environments.
As a Senior Hardware Design Engineer , you will take ownership of the design and development of complex RF and high-speed electronic hardware, working on products deployed globally in safety-critical and mission-critical settings.
Based onsite in Guildford , this role offers the opportunity to see your designs progress through the full end-to-end engineering lifecycle, from concept and architecture through to deployment, within a secure engineering environment that prioritises technical excellence.
You'll have the opportunity to: Design and develop high-speed and RF electronic hardware for real-world deployment Own design decisions and lead hardware through full development lifecycle Work closely with systems, firmware, and mechanical engineers Contribute to the development of wireless and hardware solutions used in challenging environments Solve complex technical challenges requiring strong analytical and problem-solving skills See concepts translated into fully realised, deployable hardware products Work within a secure, technically focused onsite engineering environment Your Responsibilities As a Senior Hardware Design Engineer , you will: Design RF and high-speed digital PCBs, including schematic capture and component selection Own hardware architecture and design choices across assigned products Take designs through the full lifecycle including design, bring-up, test, and deployment Support system integration and validation activities Collaborate closely within multi-disciplinary engineering teams Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and security requirements Operate effectively within export-controlled and security-sensitive environments Key Requirements As a Senior Hardware Design Engineer , you should have: Strong experience in high-speed or RF PCB design and circuit design Proven experience taking hardware products through full end-to-end development Ability to work independently and take ownership of design decisions Experience working in complex or regulated engineering environments Willingness to work fully onsite to support secure development activities Eligibility for full, unrestricted UK Security Clearance You will gain exposure with: Working as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer , you will be involved in: RF and wireless hardware product development Complex electronic systems deployed in challenging environments Full lifecycle engineering from concept to deployment You will work in an environment that combines: Deep technical engineering challenges Secure, mission-critical development Hands-on hardware ownership and delivery Why Join? xwzovoh Work on technically challenging RF and hardware designs with real-world impact Own and deliver complex hardware from concept to deployment Operate in a highly capable onsite engineering environment Competitive salary range £75,000
