About the Role
We are recruiting a compassionate, resilient SEN Teaching Assistant on behalf of a dedicated specialist school supporting pupils with complex needs, including Autistic Spectrum Condition, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. You will work 1:1 and in small groups to remove barriers to learning and foster a safe, predictable environment.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver 1:1 and small-group support aligned with pupils' Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Use alternative communication tools (e.g., PECS, Makaton) and de-escalation techniques to support daily engagement.

Assist with sensory processing routines and personal care support where necessary.

Collaborate with class teachers, SENCos, and external therapists to track pupil development.

Maintain positive behavior management strategies in line with the school's policy.
