Composite Technician

Composites Technician Location: Near Didcot, Oxfordshire Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum Job Type: Permanent, Full-time Syntech Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Composites Technician to join a specialist engineering and manufacturing business near Didcot. This is a hands-on role manufacturing carbon fibre, glass fibre and aramid fibre components for advanced engineering applications. You'll work across the full composites manufacturing process, from layup and resin impregnation through to curing, trimming and finishing. Key Responsibilities * Manufacture carbon fibre, glass fibre and aramid fibre components * Carry out composite layup and resin impregnation * Work with VARTM and autoclave curing processes * Trim and finish composite components * Manufacture tooling and moulds * Support assembly of precision R&D and production hardware * Work from detailed engineering drawings and procedures * Maintain composite material stock and expiry controls * Support manufacturing process improvements * Ensure work meets internal quality standards Experience Required * Hands-on composites manufacturing experience * Practical knowledge of composite materials and processes * Experience with composite layup, curing, trimming and finishing * Ability to read detailed engineering drawings * Experience working with precision components * Good understanding of tolerances, materials and surface finishes * Strong attention to detail and quality * Ability to work independently and within a technical team * Able to achieve UK Government BPSS clearance Desirable * Mechanical apprenticeship or engineering qualification * Autoclave operating/programming experience * Aerospace or space industry experience * Knowledge of ECSS standards * Ability to achieve SC clearance Package * Salary up to £45,000, depending on experience * Permanent position * Specialist advanced engineering environment * Based near Didcot, Oxfordshire If you're a Composites Technician, Composite Laminator, Composite Manufacturing Technician or Composite Fitter, apply today.
