Sheet Metal Operator / Fabricator Location: Water Orton, West Midlands Position: Full-Time Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00am - 4:00pm, Friday 7:00am - 1:00pm Contek Recruitment Solutions are representing a well-established Midlands-based engineering and manufacturing specialist with over 30 years of industry experience. Delivering end-to-end bespoke and standard solutions, from initial design through to manufacture and final installation, the business serves leading names across the construction, commercial, and building services sectors. They are currently seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Operator to join their experienced production team in Water Orton. Key Responsibilities * Efficiently operate guillotine and folding machinery to cut and fold sheet metal accurately * Work directly from technical drawings to ensure precision across standard and bespoke fabrication runs * Assist with the fabrication of acoustic panels, ductwork, silencers, and kitchen ventilation components * Maintain accurate quality control standards throughout the manufacturing process * Ensure high standards of Health & Safety across the shop floor at all times Candidate Requirements * Proven hands-on experience operating metal guillotines and folding machinery * Background in sheet metal fabrication or general engineering environments * Ability to read and interpret engineering / CAD drawings accurately * Background within HVAC, M&E, ventilation, acoustics, or specialist engineering is highly beneficial * Strong attention to detail, precision, and a self-motivated work ethic What is On Offer * Competitive rate of pay based on experience * Great shift pattern featuring a 1:00pm finish every Friday * Opportunity to work with an industry leader supplying major national clients * Modern manufacturing equipment * Stable, long-term employment within a growing, dedicated team
